Immersion and clustered coloring

چکیده

Hadwiger and Hajós conjectured that for every positive integer t, Kt+1-minor free graphs Kt+1-topological minor are properly t-colorable, respectively. Clustered coloring version of these two conjectures which only require monochromatic components to have bounded size has been extensively studied. In this paper we consider the clustered immersion-variant Hadwiger's Hajós' conjecture proposed by Lescure Meyniel independently Abu-Khzam Langston. We determine minimum number required colors H-immersion graphs, any fixed graph H, up a small additive absolute constant. Our result is tight infinitely many H. A key machinery developed in lemma reduces clustering problem on one torsos their tree-cut decomposition or tree-decomposition. byproduct unified proof Alon, Ding, Oporowski Vertigan author Oum about maximum degree minor-closed families.

Graph Coloring and the Immersion Order

The relationship between graph coloring and the immersion order is considered. Vertex connectivity, edge connectivity and related issues are explored. These lead to the conjecture that, if G requires at least t colors, then G must have immersed within it Kt, the complete graph on t vertices. Evidence in support of such a proposition is presented. For each fixed value of t, there can be only a f...

Coloring 3D Line Fields Using Boy's Real Projective Plane Immersion

We introduce a new method for coloring 3D line fields and show results from its application in visualizing orientation in DTI brain data sets. The method uses Boy's surface, an immersion of RP2 in 3D. This coloring method is smooth and one-to-one except on a set of measure zero, the double curve of Boy's surface.

Between coloring and list-coloring: μ-coloring

A new variation of the coloring problem, μ-coloring, is defined in this paper. Given a graph G and a function μ, a μ-coloring is a coloring where each vertex v of G must receive a color at most μ(v). It is proved that μ-coloring lies between coloring and list-coloring, in the sense of generalization of problems and computational complexity. The notion of perfection is extended for μ-coloring, l...

Topology coloring

The purpose of this study is to show how topological surfaces are painted in such a way that the colors are borderless but spaced with the lowest color number. That a surface can be painted with at least as many colors as the condition of defining a type of mapping with the condition that it has no fixed point. This mapping is called color mapping and is examined and analyzed in differe...

Investigation on Reliability Estimation of Loosely Coupled Software as a Service Execution Using Clustered and Non-Clustered Web Server

Evaluating the reliability of loosely coupled Software as a Service through the paradigm of a cluster-based and non-cluster-based web server is considered to be an important attribute for the service delivery and execution. We proposed a novel method for measuring the reliability of Software as a Service execution through load testing. The fault count of the model against the stresses of users ...
